evervault raises $3.2M seed led by Sequoia to make data privacy simple

Today, evervault is proud to announce our $3.2 million seed investment round led by Sequoia Capital, with participation from Kleiner Perkins, Frontline and SV Angel.

I’m thrilled to have some of the best investors in the world on board and am confident that this will accelerate us on our mission to make data privacy simple and accessible for all.

Privacy and security are no longer items that product builders implement under pressure from their compliance team — they’re becoming a core feature of your product. The world is changing and consumers are becoming increasingly privacy-savvy, yet the existing toolkit for baking privacy into your product from day one sucks.

Companies of all sizes are in constant fear of customer data breaches, the cost that goes with it and the task of protecting this sensitive data. evervault is building the infrastructure that bridges secure cloud hardware and web/mobile applications, taking privacy away from compliance and making it a product feature.

We think the future of privacy is in the hands of developers and builders and it’s going to be defined by the privacy cages you’re using to protect personal data. I believe we can start a generational shift in how we can approach these problems, by building the privacy tools necessary to support the current and future generations of technology builders and creators.

As you can imagine, this isn’t an easy feat and we need the best of the best. We’re assembling a small team of world-class product engineers right here in the heart of Dublin. If the thought of solving data privacy once and for all interests you, check out our website. We’d love to have you on board!

To everyone who has supported me along the way: thanks for placing your trust in a young founder with nothing but a dream and a long road ahead!
